Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Not THE best pizza in the world but it is defiantly good. They also serve good pasta and the salad bar was very good and fresh. It was mostly clean and the servers seemed very kind.

I usually like eating here... But the last few times it has been apparent that no manager was present. Every pizza was low or gone and it took 45 minutes or longer to heat up a pot of Alfredo. Additionally no one came to clear out table until 30 minutes after being seated.

Super affordable and delicious pizza buffet! Finally a restaurant the kiddos and I can agree on. All you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad bar.

In town for a visit and craving good pizza after a horrible pie at Slackwater the previous night. I struck out again. 10 min wait to be seated, should have left when I saw 5-7 year old kids running in the lobby. This place had come so highly recommended. Pizza was mediocre at best, pasta with pesto tasteless, salad bar was good. Huge election of pizza, but come on, some of those combo were just disgusting. Table and benches, sticky. Kid friendly place (not what I was looking for) and the one behind me used the bench as a trampoline for half of the meal...never came so close to asking a Dad to do his parental duty of keeping his child from being a nuisance. I should have known when I didn't smell anything yummy when walking in, like garlic maybe? The one star is for free refills. Doesn't anyone in Ogden make good NY style pizza??

Every time I have gone here I have gotten sick with the stomach flu. There pizzas okay I mean it's nothing better than little caesars. I say skip the pizza here you won't miss.

Far from the best pizza place I've been to. My fiancé and I decided to try it because I had heard good things from friends and neighbors. I will be ignoring their restaurant suggestions from now on. Pizza isn't rotated very frequently and although there should have been many options, only about five were available. The dining room was filthy. The employees were all hanging out in the kitchen not doing anything except the girl on pasta station (who was working her butt off and should DEFINITELY be getting a raise or promotion). Went up to get another slice and had our table cleared. We will not be back.

I love this place! My brother and I live just down the street from this location, so sometimes we'll go here when we both have a day off of work. Everytime time we go there's always FANTASTIC customer service, and the pizza is great tasting!!! I love the pizza here! The pasta is also quick and great tasting. I LIVE this place! The staff here is great!

Salad bar is truck stop caliber but clean. Firefighter Rick and Chicken Ranch were our favorites. The Buffalo chicken was oddly sweet, 0/10 would not eat again. Overall great clean place for families with a friendly staff.

  • James H.

The pizza was what you would expect from an all you could eat place, about the same or not quite as good as little Caesars 5$ pizzas. The salad bar was good and the pasta was ok. The kids really liked the dessert pizza. For my family of 5 it was $45, for that price I could get all the pizza we could eat from any of the chain places and it would taste better. I will only go back if my kids really want to but I would try to talk them out of it. Try pizza man in same parking lot we love it.

I'm not big on buffets, but I'm am impressed with this one, the pizza is always fresh, a lot of choices. The pizza I good. I actually enjoy going there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone! The staff is also very nice.

Always concerned with buffets but son wanted to eat there. It was really good food. Big variety of pizza, good salad bar, and the dessert pies were yummy. Would definitely recommend this to families.

Cheap pizza, lousy pasta, great salad bar selection. It is very noisy inside which makes it hard to have a conversation. Not really a fan. Would only come back when bringing the kids.

Be careful when you eat here. The food is fine, not amazing but good enough. However if you happen to get up, and leave your table, to go get food at this buffet your table is at risk of being completely cleared when you get back. And I don't mean of plates and food. I mean when I got back to my table the extra plates were gone but so were my purse and iPad that I left on the table! Apparently the people working there had decided I had enough and I had to hunt down my belongings. When one of the staff retrieved my stuff I was told "it happens sometimes" but was not apologized to nor did I feel welcome to finish my meal. You were warned.

Me and my wife enjoy a trip out once in a while and we really enjoy the different kind of pizza they have they also always have a unique pizza for different holidays there Cinco De Mayo pizza is always I've if my favorite. They always surprise with a new blend of flavor for the pizza of the month. If you have a favorite pizza you can also request it and they will make it for you

  • Kevin P.

It's a great buffet. I thoroughly enjoyed it all 3 times i've been. It is a buffet, so you control how much you eat (they don't force you to overindulge). They do slightly struggle with the popular pizzas and keeping them available (Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Alfredo, Firefighter Rick) but it's okay because the other options are also very good. I am glad there's a pizza buffet back in Ogden after Godquitters left town a few years back.

  • Bill T.

Really a smorgasbord of pizza pie! I liked the Hillbilly (go figure) and the combo. Very reasonably priced, great staff, and all the pies were fresh and tasty. Highly recommend and will go back for round 2!

This is a great place with great food. They have great desert and regular pizza. It is like brick oven with desert pizza.

  • Phil M.

New buffet style pizza place. The price is quite reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Nice clean salad bar, it is pretty straight forward but fresh. Pizza and pasta are better than average for buffet, you can also get most items gluten free

  • C F.

I'm not sure that a buffet is worthy of 5 stars. I'm surprised by the number of 5 star ratings of this place. I will say that the initial joy/rush of all the food you can eat is pretty awesome but that feeling usually goes away after the second slice. It is good that they have a salad bar and a pasta option to go to, but the mad dash to the pizza feeding pile is not a fun thing to see. Also, the seating is not very comfortable. They try to get as many people in at once, thus the buffet mentality. I will say that it is probably better than the 3 food places that have come and gone in the same building but it is not worth 5 stars.

  • A E.

...so here's the thing, an excessive amount of bad pizza does not make up for the quality. The crust tastes like a stale hamburger bun or something... chewy, mass produced somewhere off site. It's amazing how many people flock to this place to eat mediocre pizza that's been handled by who knows how many dirty child hands. Coupled with the insanely high price, I would (and will) pass on any return trips. Save your money, head to any number of better pizza restaurants. Even Little Caesars has this place beat.

  • Sal S.

They have a large selection of pizza . To bad it had been sitting under the heat lamps for way to long . It was dried out and tasteless . I think it is somewhat risky with all of the kids grabbing the pieces and putting them back on the tray if it wasn't what they want . The pasta sauces were nasty and way to salty . The carbonara was more like some kind of gravy with fake bacon in it . If it hadn't of been so salty it would have been good on biscuits. The alfredo was out of a package . The salad bar was small but OK . The desert pizzas were all crust without much on them . Its a good place to take kids . You get what you pay for . Wont make any effort to go back .

  • Dionna M.

The pricing is really good for all the food you get. The variety of pizza available is pretty decent. Not the best pizza in the world, but It wasn't bad. I wasn't sure about the dessert pizza's, especially the Oreo pizza, but it was actually pretty tasty. I haven't taken advantage of the pasta yet. However, I'm not a pasta fan so I doubt I'll try it as to not waste my appetite. I liked the salad bar. They had Apple beer!! That excited me a little. Also, I love that they make gluten free pizza! I do not have any allergies or deficiencies of any kind but I do have friends who do, so it's a win win for deciding on lunch dates with friends who have limitations. So overall the price was right, food was good, my family enjoyed it, staff was friendly, environment was clean and open for higher traffic. I went during not so busy times so it's hard to say what is like when packed. I didn't see a ton of seating so I don't know how that would fare. My experiences have always been good plus it's close to home.
